Luncheon Cake

30-03-2009

Monday 30TH March

The word Lunch and luncheon come from the French Lopin translated to lumpe, which referred to a lump of bread or cheese. In the 19th century dinner moved progressively later in the day leaving a hunger gap between breakfast and dinner. So the simple meal, Lunch, was developed. So a simple cake for a simple meal.
