My main interests as a practitioner are printmaking, book art and architecture and their relationship to each other. I utilise etching and screen printing to explore landscape, more specifically the impact of the inner city and the urban environment within which we exist.

The design for my 'A Cake for Every Day' poster is inspired by the old style music hall announcements. I wanted to make it as authentic as possible, yet put a contemporary feel to it by applying the screen printing process. As the posters needed to convey a number of key pieces of information it suited this 'text heavy' style perfectly.

I graduated from Coventry University in 2005 after completing a BA (Hons) Fine Art, specialising in Printmaking. I am currently the Education Officer at Leicester Print Workshop and work as an Artist and Printmaking Tutor.
